Bursting with vintage flavor!
This week’s color palette has a particularly vintage feel to it, featuring wood textures, lots of corners and traditional design for living rooms. The colors here are inspired by grapes, featuring deep maroons and greenery. A rather intellectual look, Vintage Vineyard will look great against a mint green or light, peony pink backdrop.
For our vintage-mod look, we’ve got this mossy green sofa to anchor the scope of the room. We’re smitten with the boxy style, and opted to pair it with these traditional maroon chairs. Because we love the color, we’re tossing a couple burgundy pillows on the sofa to match with the chairs.
A huge part of this look is wood and traditional shapes. This oval cocktail table is both elegant and classic, with a rich black cherry finish. For shelving and entertainment needs, we’ve picked out a vintage-looking wooden entertainment center, stocked with more storage space than we know what to do with.
To add a natural element, we recommend a small indoor topiary. Pictured above is an artificial topiary, to cause no fuss. We’ve also included potpourri from various nuts, pinecones and more, which makes an excellent decorative accent on the coffee table. Finally, light up this dark palette with a vintage floor lamp.
Tie it All Together
To reign in the look, we have a couple pieces on the room’s periphery. First, this vintage area rug stands in a nice, light contrast to the other pieces featured here–and we think it pairs well with the floor lamp from above. In the background, opt for apple green curtains for a brighter touch that fits.
