This is not as hard as you think
A Living Succulent Frame – Just finished and here’s how you can do it!
The final product – lying flat where it will for a week or so as the succulents root in the moss – with weekly misting and watering.
Love this and hope you’ll try – here are the steps:
Supplies – succulents, frame, wood to add box, wire cutters, staple gun, spray adhesive , wire mesh, spray adhesive, screw driver and screws, and wood glue plus chopstick to use as a tool
Using an old gold frame for my living succulent frame
Added wood to the back to make a box to hold moss and give succulents room to root
Testing the box
Securing the box sides
Playing with the layout as it could look in the frame. Make sure you have enough succulents – I had to go back and buy a few more – you can also fill in more moss when you are done.
This spray adhesive works great to secure moss to back of box
Staple gun the wire mesh over moss
Secure frame on top of box now – using wood glue
Take soil off the tiny succulents so that only the roots are showing.
Use a chopstick to secure the tiny succulents into the moss – use your finger too but chopstick helps and mist/moist the moss so it’s easier
How it will look hanging up!
