Simplify planning for your wedding with these apps!
A wedding might be the best day of your life, but the time leading up to it might be the most stressful year of your life. But it doesn’t need to be! Thankfully, there’s a great deal of tools available covering all aspects of wedding planning, available across many platforms. This means whether you have an iPhone, Android phone or just a computer, you can plan your wedding from start to finish–and easily–anywhere and any time. Because the sheer volume of tools available can be overwhelming itself, here’s what we recommend.
It’s not a wedding app, but it’s definitely the number-one source for inspired decorating, crafting and more. And you can find anything from dresses to centerpieces on Pinterest, as well as things you might want to add to your registry. Pinterest is available for iOS and Android, and of course on the web.
Speaking of registries, Zola Registry is a beautiful app that takes care of all your registry needs. From your web browser or iPhone you can design a registry website with custom photos and messages, then select from a curated catalog of products (or your own finds from any store in the wild!) Zola won’t ship any gift to you before you choose to receive, so you can keep the deliveries stress-free.
Plan it Out
There are so many wedding planning apps out there, but which have the most useful features? The Knot features a whole suite of features to help the best day of your life run smoothly, including budgeting tools, vendors, guest management, a checklist and more! The app is photo-heavy, and can certainly serve some wedding inspiration as well.
Similarly, WeddingWire puts everything you need in one place with a vendor search, a planner, a dress search, registry and more. WeddingWire has a forums feature, making it connected to a community that can help if you have any pressing matters you’d like to discuss with other wedding couples.
Get the Guests Ready
The two previous apps mentioned have invitation and RSVP tools, but how can you get them excited and organized for the day? Appy Couple makes it easy to design a first-rate website and app for your wedding. With Appy Couple, you can clue in guests to everything they need to know from hotel info to travel arrangements. Appy Couple lets you choose from over 400 designs, so you can keep everyone informed in style.
Finally, it can be arduous to figure out seating arrangements for the big day. With Top Table Planner you can simply drag and drop guests to a table plan, keep guest meal choices, and label tables to keep things organized at a glance. Of course, you can print out your plan and access and edit it anywhere from your computer or smart phone.
Share the Memories
Ask your guests with an Android or iPhone to use Vyclone when filming moments from your wedding, which will automatically re-mix and stitch the videos together into one movie. Vyclone is a great way to create and share all the event’s great moments from a myriad of perspectives, and while the stitching process is automatic, you can take the reigns and edit it how you like if you want.
Wedding Party for iOS has some useful tools that apps mentioned above feature, but what we like is its ability to collect photos from guests that can be arranged in albums and shared. With today’s social media-connected world, you can bet your guests will be snapping up more beautiful photos of your wedding than you could count–but with this app, you can collect them in one place.
But social media and photos can be ephemeral; how will you treasure the memories for days to come? Blurb! Blurb makes it easy to create and design a photo book, and is the ideal choice because–unlike other services–you can buy and print only the copies you want, instead of buying a whole lot. Make a book for yourself, and one for guests or close friends and family, with whatever attractive design you can muster from the site’s simple tools.
